Second, I did some real world testing, I looked into Cuisinart, bought a few pieces of Kitchen Aid, bought a few pieces of glass stove top cookware, I even have some of the newer ceramic coated frying pans but I settled nicely into an All Clad cookware set. All-Clad stainless has cool handles when heated. Cooks evenly with no hot spots, I can turn the pot off for the last 10 minutes with things like rice and it continues to cook. The cleanup is easy; I don’t need special cleansers to keep them clean and shiny. Pots stay shiny with a minimum of effort. My children even put them away and I still don’t have dings or scratches on them.
I didn’t go out and purchase the whole set at once. I slowly switched out my pots when they went on sale. I used an All Clad outlet to stock my kitchen with some new pots. This way my trade-ins were economically priced. Also, whatever I couldn’t find at the outlet, I supplemented with purchases from Williams and Sonoma, Chef’s catalog and Amazon. They all have great sales you just have to check regularly. Note: Make sure you look at all holiday’s they always run specials on different All-Clad pots. How to Bake Bread in Glass Pans
If you’re a home cook who enjoys baking bread, you’ll experience success with your bread when you use glass bread pans. To make bake bread in glass pans, there are some steps to be taken. They are
- Grease the insides of the bread pans generously with butter or oil. Spread the butter or oil evenly over the entire inside surface using your fingers or a paper towel.
- Place the bread dough into the prepared glass loaf pans after it has risen once. Shape the dough so it’s smooth and rounded.
- Allow the dough in the bread pans to rise in a warm place a second time for approximately 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit while the dough is rising a second time.
- Place the bread dough into the hot oven after the 30 minutes elapses. Bake the bread for approximately 25 minutes.
- Watch the bread in the oven during the final five to 10 minutes of baking time. When the top of the bread is a deep golden brown, open the oven door and tap lightly on the tops of the loaves of bread. If the loaves are hard when you tap them and they sound hollow, the bread is finished baking.
- Remove the bread from the oven and place the loaf pans onto the cooling rack. Cool the bread in the bread pans for approximately 15 minutes.
- Remove the bread from the glass loaf pans and allow the bread to cool completely before slicing.
